Business owners invited to celebrate entrepreneurial success stories from across the Tees Valley

Funding specialists FW Capital and learning and development agency FIRST have joined forces to bring business owners from across the Tees Valley a unique, 2-day experience of new connections, ideas and opportunities.

The event titled ‘Leaders on Tour: Tees Valley’ is open to owner/managers of SMEs across Teesside, Hartlepool and Durham and includes a business brunch and bus tour of entrepreneurial and innovative business premises on Day 1 with lunch and finance round tables hosted by Caroline Theobald CBE on Day 2.

Guests will have access to ‘behind the scenes’ opportunities during the bus tour as well as accurate, real-time information of the growth enabling opportunities that businesses can access through FW Capital and the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Tees Valley who will be there on the day to answer questions and signpost.

Keith Charlton, Deputy Fund Manager of FW Capital said: “We are delighted to support this event in partnership with FIRST. It’s important now more than ever that business across the Tees Valley know what the local funding landscape looks like and how they can take advantage of the opportunities to grow their businesses. We’re excited to meet the entrepreneurs and are looking forward to learning about the businesses on the tour.”

Charlotte Windebank, MD of FIRST and creative director for the event said “The last 18 months have been extremely hard on business owners with no respite, time to learn or develop new business relationships. The aim of the event is to give the amazing entrepreneurs of Tees Valley an experience that ignites the passion and motivation as to why they started their business in the first place.”

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “Now, more than ever, our brilliant businesses across our region need to be banding together to share experiences, network and understand the lay of the land following the coronavirus pandemic. This event will help spur on our innovators, job creators and entrepreneurs to bigger and better things, and I’d urge all SME leaders to check out how this could benefit you.”

Tickets are fully funded by FW Capital for Middlesbrough, Stockton on Tees, Redcar and Cleveland, Hartlepool and Darlington based business and are available here: https://leadersontourtv.eventbrite.co.uk/ with the event taking place in the Tees Valley on 4th and 5th November 2021.
