Do you have an idea for an app to start a business but aren’t sure how to commercialise it? OR are you already in the process of building an app for your business but need validity and an understanding of how to commission it?

As part of our *Digital Essentials series, we’re running a Mobile App Development workshop to equip you with the knowledge you need to take your initial concept through to the execution of a fully functional app.

Taking place on Tuesday 12 and 19 October at Middlesbrough’s Boho Five, you’ll take part in two highly interactive, full-day sessions led by industry experts, SME CofE, who will guide you through the key stages of developing a mobile app.

Through an expert overview you’ll explore the pros and cons of different building methods, the range of platforms available, central concepts and the criteria for what makes an app a success.

You’ll gain a better understanding on key topics including:

• What constitutes a mobile application?
• The principles behind device-specific functionality
• The process of user interface design and why it is an essential part of the process
• How apps are optimised for different devices
