Mobile App Development Workshop – Additional Dates Added

Due to the amount of interest from Tees Valley-based businesses, we are delighted to announce that we are running a second Mobile App Development Workshop.

This two day workshop is delivered on Wednesday 24 October and Wednesday 7 November and is FREE to eligible Tees Valley-based businesses.

Delivered by DigitalCity mentor Phil Veal (Silbo) it will provide an overview of the pros and cons of different methods of building apps, the platforms available, central concepts, the key stages of development and the criteria for what makes an app a success, including:

• What constitutes a mobile application?
• The principles behind device-specific functionality
• The process of user interface design and why it is an essential part of the process
• How apps are optimised for different devices

In this highly interactive workshop delegates will be given the opportunity to explore their own ideas. They will gain an understanding of the processes involved in taking an initial concept through to the execution of a fully functional app, making it easier to build or commission an app of their own.
