The DigitalCity project is managed by Teesside University. Teesside University (the Data Controller) is committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals visiting this website and accessing our services. The university is registered as a Data Controller under Data Protection Act 2018.

What information do we collect?

You do not need to provide any personal information to simply browse the content of the DigitalCity web pages. As with most web servers, the web server hosting www.thedigitalcity.com uses cookies to automatically collect information about site visits to assist with the system administration of the website. We only collect personal information, including your name and e-mail address, where you knowingly supply the information through completion of an on-line form.

What do we do with the information we collect?

If you use the online ‘contact us’ form, your personal information will be used to respond to your enquiry.

By signing up to our e-newsletter you are opting in to receiving relevant marketing communications from us. We will hold your details on our corporate client relationship management system so we can keep you up to date with details, new developments in Teesside University business related services and courses. We will contact you with news and details of upcoming future events, services, news items relevant to the DigitalCity and business events, courses and services the University and its partners may have to offer.

Your information is held securely in accordance with the requirements and safeguards of the Data Protection Act 2018.  It will only be used for the purposes stated above and will only be shared with third parties where it is a requirement of any funding you receive, in which case you will receive details of the data to be shared within the funding paperwork.

By signing up to the DigitalCity Community Directory, you are giving permission to display your business details submitted with DigitalCity website visitors. The details will only be used for this purpose and can be removed at any time, by contacting info@thedigitalcity.com.

By signing up to the DigitalCity Community Area, you are giving permission to hold your details on the web content management system and receive platform updates, plus notifications and contact requests from other members of the area. You can delete your membership account at any time by contacting info@thedigitalcity.com

We will only disclose your personal information to third parties in ways permitted by this statement or where permitted or required by law.
