Creative Fuse Conference 2022

Mark the dates in your diary – the Creative Fuse Conference returns the 14th and 15th of September!

  • Wednesday 14th September – Middlesbrough Town Hall, Middlesbrough , including drinks reception at MIMA
  • Thursday 15th September – City Campus East, Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne

The 2022 Creative Fuse North East Conference opens in the heart of Middlesbrough and continues in Newcastle for day two. Both days bring together businesses, creative practitioners, and expertise from the region’s five universities to support the vibrant, dynamic, and fast-growing Creative, Digital and IT (CDIT) sector.

The conference will be an opportunity to hear from key note speakers, take part in workshops and explorative discussion, and enjoy performances and exhibitions.

As you would expect from Creative Fuse, the team will explore the impact and role of creativity in the region, economy and society, and how we can be more sustainable in a changing world. This will include creative places, levelling up, co-creation and collaboration, and how creativity can shape identity and innovation.

Creative Fuse are delighted to be hosting a drinks reception at MIMA (Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art) as part of the first day of the Creative Fuse conference. The drinks reception will launch the School of Arts and Creative Industries at MIMA and give attendees the opportunity to view the art gallery.

Throughout the conference, the team will bring everyone together to explore themes surrounding Spaces, Places and Creativity.
