Kickstart Scheme

The newly launched Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create new six-month job placements for young people. The scheme creates paid work placements for work-ready young people aged 16-24 and is available to any business of any size in any sector to support the next generation through the early stages of their career.

Up to £6,500 of funding is available to pay for 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus associated employer National Insurance contributions and further funding to help with set up and training costs

If you are interested in providing a Kickstart placement, Teesside University can help you. As a Kickstart Gateway we can apply for a Kickstart Scheme grant on your behalf and connect you with fresh graduate talent.

If you are interested in providing a placement or have any questions please contact teesinterns@tees.ac.uk to discuss this further.
